Job summary

CSR is seeking a Senior Credit Officer in North Ryde to manage a high-volume NSW debtor ledger, oversee collections, resolve account queries and claims, and support healthy cashflow. You will build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders while ensuring adherence to credit policies.

The role requires attention to detail, proven collections experience, and proficiency with Excel; SAP experience is highly valued. Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm.

The opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and confident Senior Credit Officer to join our Credit team based in North Ryde. In this role, you will take ownership of a high-volume NSW debtor ledger managing collections, aged debt, account queries and claims through to resolution. You will need to be comfortable working at pace and confident managing your own ledger. More than simply collecting overdue accounts, we are looking for someone who has a strong eye for detail, follows issues through to completion and knows how to work through complex account queries and claims. You will build strong relationships with customers, Account Managers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues quickly, improve outcomes and support healthy cashflow across the business.

Hours: 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a high-volume NSW ledger of customer accounts.
• Proactively collect outstanding and aged debt within agreed trading terms.
• Manage high-volume collections and prioritise accounts requiring follow-up.
• Investigate and resolve customer account queries, aged items, and claims.
• Take ownership of outstanding issues and follow claims through to resolution.
• Complete account reconciliations using Excel and investigate discrepancies.
• Build strong working relationships with customers, Account Managers, and internal stakeholders.
• Work closely with the Credit Manager to manage delinquent or higher-risk accounts.
• Maintain accurate customer records and notes within the system.
• Assist with credit limit reviews and increases within delegated authority.
• Ensure decisions and actions align with CSR's credit policies and delegations.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Credit Controller / Senior Credit Officer who is confident managing a busy ledger and knows how to stay on top of competing priorities.

You Will Ideally Bring

• Previous experience managing a large, high-volume debtor ledger.
• Strong experience in collections, aged debt, and account reconciliation.
• Confidence managing customer queries and claims from initial investigation through to resolution.
• Intermediate Excel skills, particularly for account reconciliations.
• SAP experience is highly regarded.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Confidence having conversations with customers regarding overdue accounts.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and follow-through.
• An organised, proactive approach and the ability to manage a high workload.
• A positive, solutions-focused attitude.
