Job summary

Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority is seeking an experienced Accommodation Relief Manager to provide short-term leadership across its accommodation portfolio along the iconic Great Ocean Road in Victoria. The casual role runs for approximately three months, with potential extension and near-full-time hours during the assignment.

You will travel between caravan parks, recreation reserves and accommodation sites, with accommodation support if needed when away from home.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in accommodation, hospitality, tourism or caravan park management.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience, including managing rosters and staff performance.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to resolve complex guest issues.
• Experience managing budgets, payroll, stock control and operational administration.
• Confidence using accommodation management systems such as RMS or similar booking software.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A practical, hands-on approach to maintenance, site presentation and operational problem-solving.
• A commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Diploma qualification in Hospitality, Tourism, Business Administration or a related field.
• Current First Aid Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Provide relief management across GORCAPA's accommodation sites along the Great Ocean Road.
• Lead the day-to-day operations of caravan parks, recreation reserves and accommodation facilities.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve guest enquiries and issues professionally.
• Supervise, support and develop site-based teams.
• Oversee reservations, administration, financial reconciliations and reporting.
• Coordinate maintenance activities and ensure facilities are presented to a high standard.
• Monitor site safety and compliance, ensuring all work is completed in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.
• Respond to operational issues, including occasional after-hours maintenance or guest matters.
• Work closely with the Accommodation Services Manager to support business performance and continuous improvement.
