Job summary
Alfab Investments P/L t/as Tenlow Tooling – Smithfield NSW is seeking an experienced operator and programmer for Sodick CNC Wire EDM machinery to manufacture precision tooling. You will program from engineering drawings, set up machines, run first-off inspections and ensure tight tolerances.
The role requires proven Wire EDM programming, setup and operation skills, CNC machining experience in a toolroom, and CAM programming ability.
Qualifications
- Experience with wire EDM programming, setup and operation.
- CNC machining in a toolroom or precision manufacturing environment.
- Australian-qualified 1st Class Machinist/Toolmaker.
- CAM programming experience.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and meet tight tolerances.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Programming, setup and operation of Sodick CNC Wire EDM machinery.
- Manufacture of precision tooling and components to tight tolerances.
- Programming from engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Proving programs and carrying out first-off inspections.
- Precision measurement and quality inspection.
- Troubleshooting machining and tooling issues.
- General toolmaking and precision machining.
- Maintaining machinery, tooling and a safe work environment.
