Job summary

Australian Sailing is seeking a proactive Club Support Officer in NSW/ACT to build strong relationships with clubs, Discover Sailing Centres and stakeholders. The role drives program delivery, governance improvement, and participation growth across the sailing community.

You will train clubs on RevolutioniseSPORT, support events, and promote sailing opportunities. A strong background in customer service and sport management is expected, with flexible hours for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Sailing experience and/or qualifications (Instructor, Coach or Race Official).
• Experience with coordinating & marketing events.
• Experience with social media and other electronic marketing tools including websites.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 – Office, Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Experience working with diverse stakeholders/volunteers.
• Experience in customer service.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with Clubs and Discover Sailing Centres.
• Guide Clubs to establish and maintain effective management systems (planning, risk, governance).
• Deliver membership and participation growth, including SailPass and recruitment/retention.
• Coordinate and administer training courses and connect Clubs to instructors, officials and coaches.
• Promote events and support annual Sailing Summits and Awards.
• Share best-practice and input into resource development for clubs.
