Job summary

Australian Payments Plus is hiring a Cloud Site Reliability Engineer in Sydney to keep cloud and platform services reliable, secure and scalable. This hands-on role focuses on AWS/Kubernetes, automation, observability and resilient delivery across AP+ platforms.

You will build, monitor and optimise cloud infrastructure, drive incident response, and partner with Security and Engineering teams to improve resilience and change control.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Site Reliability/Cloud or Platform Engineering in highly available environments.
• Strong AWS experience across EKS, EC2, EFS, VPC and IAM with solid cloud networking knowledge.
• Experience with IaC and automation using Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK or Ansible.
• CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket and solid observability.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and improve cloud and platform infrastructure for high availability, resilience and security.
• Respond to incidents, troubleshoot reliability issues and improve MTTR/MTTD through lessons learned.
• Engineer and optimise AWS and Kubernetes environments (EKS, EC2, EFS, VPC, IAM).
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and automate tasks to reduce manual effort and risk.
• Strengthen observability across infrastructure, apps and cloud services with meaningful metrics.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Security and Service Management on disaster recovery and controlled changes.
