Job summary

Australian Payments Plus in Sydney, NSW, is seeking a mid-level Cloud Engineer to support and evolve the cloud and infrastructure that underpin Australia's digital payments platforms. This hands-on role focuses on provisioning, configuring, operating and optimizing secure, reliable infrastructure across cloud and hybrid environments.

You’ll work across day-to-day operations, automation, performance, security and change to keep services resilient.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience supporting cloud and hybrid infrastructure in an enterprise setting.
• Deep understanding of cloud IaaS/PaaS, virtualization, storage and automation tooling.
• Experience monitoring, diagnosing issues and supporting install, maintenance and change.

Responsibilities

• Provision, deploy and configure cloud and infrastructure services per standards and security rules.
• Monitor performance, availability and security events; troubleshoot and maintain reliability.
• Automate routine sysadmin tasks to improve efficiency and consistency.
• Support controlled changes, configuration management and storage activities safely.
• Collaborate with engineers and service teams to improve procedures and outcomes.
