Job summary

Leidos Australia is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer within the Corporate Cyber team, based in Melbourne with remote options. The role focuses on securing enterprise cloud platforms (Azure, Microsoft 365, AWS) and collaborating with global cyber security, cloud engineering, and infrastructure teams to design, implement and operate security capabilities that protect Leidos' worldwide environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in Cyber Security, Cloud Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Experience implementing, supporting and monitoring enterprise cloud security technologies (Azure, AWS or similar).
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 security services and cloud-native security controls.
• Experience with identity and access management (Entra ID/Azure AD, Active Directory, Okta).
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls).
• Strong analytical and communication skills for stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and deploy cloud security capabilities for Leidos cloud platforms.
• Act as SME across cloud security services and technologies.
• Provide guidance on cloud security architectures and shared responsibility models.
• Collaborate with global cloud engineering, infrastructure and cyber security teams.
• Work with Microsoft 365, Azure and AWS platform teams to enhance security controls.
• Develop technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Identify opportunities to automate security processes and improve efficiency.
• Contribute to cloud security roadmaps and strategic initiatives.
