Job summary

Leidos Australia seeks a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to strengthen secure delivery of defence capabilities in a fast-paced, Agile environment. You will shape DevSecOps strategy, modernise pipelines, and embed security across the lifecycle.

You will drive secure CI/CD, automation, and cloud-native practices, mentor engineers, collaborate with software and system teams, and optimise platforms in hybrid environments. This role requires Australia citizenship and security clearances.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, implementing and supporting secure CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible) and scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Knowledge of DevSecOps, secure software development and vulnerability management.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in cloud or hybrid environments.
• Experience supporting Linux-based enterprise platforms.
• Ability to collaborate in Agile teams and provide technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation and continuous improvement of secure CI/CD pipelines.
• Champion security-by-design principles across development and deployment lifecycles.
• Integrate vulnerability management, threat detection and security tooling.
• Collaborate with software and systems engineers to deliver scalable, secure solutions.
• Drive platform optimisation, IaC adoption, monitoring and operational excellence.
• Mentor team members and promote DevSecOps best practices.
