Job summary

Amazon is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Reliability Engineer to join Australia’s AWS team. You will be the technical backbone ensuring Australia's critical cloud infrastructure runs without interruption, diagnosing complex issues, and delivering automated fixes to prevent recurrence.

You will write scripts in modern languages, collaborate with global engineers, and help scale systems across data centers.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS and TCP/IP.
• 1+ years of technical support experience.
• Experience scripting in one or more languages (e.g. Bash, Python, Perl, Ruby).
• Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose complex system behaviours and trace issues across infrastructure layers.
• Deliver scripts and automation to eliminate repetitive work and speed incident resolution.
• Isolate root causes and implement fixes to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with global AWS engineering teams to share knowledge and improve operational practices.
