Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Network Development Engineer in Sydney to design, deploy, and operate large-scale network infrastructure that powers AWS services globally.

You will work with software, hardware, and network engineers to automate operational processes, improve reliability, and drive efficiency while delivering high availability and scalable solutions for millions of customers worldwide.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of major internet routing protocols experience.
• 4+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment experience.
• 1+ years of automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell and/or Perl is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and troubleshoot network infrastructure including routers, switches, and optical transport systems across AWS data centers and backbone networks.
• Develop automation tools and scripts to streamline network operations and reduce manual toil.
• Perform root cause analysis on complex network incidents and drive resolution to minimize customer impact.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable network solutions.
• Participate in on-call rotations to support 24/7 network operations and ensure high availability.
