Job summary

Amazon’s Region Services team in Australia is seeking a Support Engineer to help customers with complex workloads, apply advanced troubleshooting, and collaborate with AWS engineering teams. You’ll mentor new hires and contribute to content that reduces future cases.

You will work on critical events, draft clear updates, and help improve operational processes while maintaining security and reliability across AWS services in Australia.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of technical support experience.
• Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS and TCP/IP.
• Experience scripting in modern programming languages.
• 1+ years of Linux systems administration and/or development experience.

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide unique solutions to our customers' needs.
• Interact with engineers and partner with other AWS teams to help reproduce and resolve issues.
• Leverage your extensive Linux and technical experience to provide feedback to internal AWS teams on how to improve our services.
• Drive service team communication during critical events.
• Drive projects that improve support-related processes and our operational experience.
• Write tutorials, how-to videos, and other technical articles for the developer community.
• Work on complex problems spanning multiple AWS services.
• Mentor new hires and contribute to training and process improvement.
