Job summary

SKL Technology is seeking experienced Cloud Architects/Engineers to lead Azure cloud transformation within a large enterprise environment in Sydney. The role focuses on architecture, design, implementation, and integration of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 cloud solutions, working with multidisciplinary teams.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of hands-on Azure experience, strong technical leadership, and familiarity with AWS/GCP is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience implementing and managing Microsoft Azure cloud solutions.
• Demonstrated track record of technical leadership across project and operational activities.
• Experience with Azure services: App Services, Functions, Logic Apps, Azure SQL, Service Bus, API Management, Entra ID, Key Vault, Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Dynamics 365 integration, Virtual Networks, and RBAC.

We are seeking experienced and motivated Cloud Architects and/or Cloud Engineers with a minimum of 5 years’ experience to support the delivery of complex ICT and cloud transformation projects within a large enterprise environment.

The role will focus on the architecture, design, implementation and integration of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 cloud solutions, working closely with multidisciplinary technical and business teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop enterprise-level cloud platform architectures for Microsoft Azure and M365.
• Develop high-level solution architectures for cloud-based systems.
• Produce detailed architecture guidance for Cloud Engineers.
• Conduct impact analysis of business and stakeholder requirements.
• Ensure solutions align with relevant whole-of-government standards and architectural principles.
• Provide technical guidance across the design and build of cloud-based systems.
• Work with business owners, Scrum Masters, Business Analysts, Developers, Enterprise Architects and Testers to deliver solutions aligned with project objectives.
• Ensure solutions align with target architectures and technology strategies.
• Provide expertise in platform automation, automated testing, continuous integration and deployment.
• Promote enterprise architecture principles including reuse before buy/build, configure over customise, and open data/access over siloed functionality.
• Support solutions to align with relevant Digital Service Standards.
• Provide technical leadership, strategic direction and influence across project teams.

What we are looking for:

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience implementing and managing Microsoft Azure cloud solutions.
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience implementing and managing Microsoft Azure cloud solutions, including App Services, Functions, Logic Apps, Azure SQL, Service Bus, API Management, Azure DevOps, IaC, CI/CD, Entra ID, Key Vault, Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Dynamics 365 integration, Virtual Networks, Private Endpoints and RBAC.
• Demonstrated track record of technical leadership across project and operational activities.
• Strong experience and understanding of cloud-based technologies and architectures.Demonstrated experience in application and integration architecture and/or infrastructure platform architecture.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience designing and documenting architectures for large, complex enterprise systems.
• Experience with AWS and/or GCP is desirable but not essential.
