Job summary

First Sentier Group is seeking a Data Engineer in Sydney to help build a cloud-based data platform. You’ll work with Snowflake, Azure, Python and dbt to create scalable data solutions and support cloud migrations.

You’ll partner with senior engineers, document data flows, and implement best practices in a collaborative, Agile environment while exploring GenAI opportunities and AI-enabled data solutions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in Data Engineering or similar technical role.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Python, SQL, Azure data services, and dbt.
• Strong understanding of data modelling, data warehousing and building scalable data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior engineers and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver data solutions.
• Build, maintain and support scalable data infrastructure, pipelines and data products.
• Analyse existing systems, document data flows, and support migration to modern cloud platforms.
• Collaborate with analysts and business teams to translate data needs into robust solutions.
• Apply engineering best practices, including documentation, testing and version control.
