Job summary

Respect is seeking a Clinical Quality & Compliance Coordinator to join the Apex Road Residential Aged Care team in Gunnedah, NSW. This senior RN role focuses on clinical governance, quality and compliance to support safe, person-centred care and maintain accreditation readiness.

You will conduct audits, monitor indicators, mentor staff, and collaborate with the General Manager and Care Manager to drive continuous improvement and compliant documentation across care services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing and current AHPRA registration required.
• Experience in residential aged care with clinical governance focus.
• Strong documentation and audit capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate clinical care against best practice and standards.

• Identify gaps and support improvement strategies.

About The Opportunity:

Are you an experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in clinical governance, quality and compliance?

Respect is seeking a Clinical Quality & Compliance Coordinator to join the team at Apex Road Residential Aged Care in Gunnedah, New South Wales.

This is a senior Registered Nurse position focused on supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality and person-centred care through strong clinical governance, continuous improvement and compliance practices. The role works under the direction of the General Manager and Care Manager and collaborates closely with the broader clinical team.

You will have the opportunity to maintain a strong clinical focus while supporting resident outcomes through clinical oversight, quality and risk management, staff capability and ensuring care systems and documentation meet the required standards.

About The Role:

• Conducting clinical audits across care plans, progress notes, medication, wounds, falls and behaviours
• Identifying gaps in care and supporting improvement strategies

• Reviewing resident clinical records and supporting complex clinical assessments
• Monitoring high-risk residents and clinical deterioration
• Supporting compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards and regulatory requirements

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Bachelor of Nursing
• Current AHPRA registration
• Demonstrated experience in residential aged care
• Advanced clinical knowledge and assessment skills
• Strong understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards
• Experience in clinical governance, audits and quality improvement
• High-level documentation and clinical review skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal capability
• Confidence using Microsoft applications and clinical software systems.
• Experience in accreditation or audit processes, clinical education or mentoring, incident investigation and risk management will be highly regarded.
