Job summary

Respect is seeking a Care Coordinator (RN) for Killean Residential Aged Care in Inverell, NSW. This role focuses on coordinating high-quality, person-centred care and leading the care team to deliver consistent, safe resident outcomes.

You will work with the Care Manager and General Manager, ensuring current, individualised care plans reflect residents’ clinical needs and preferences, while supporting admissions and governance processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing and current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Experience in residential aged care
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation and nursing practice skills
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Driver's licence is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Coordinating and reviewing person-centred resident care plans
• Completing clinical assessments and responding to changes in residents' needs
• Supporting admissions and assessing new residents
• Collaborating with residents, families and healthcare professionals
• Maintaining high standards of clinical documentation
• Providing and supporting direct nursing care when required
• Monitoring wounds, falls, clinical deterioration and risk

Are you an experienced Registered Nurse ready to take the next step into a clinical leadership role? Respect is seeking a passionate and experienced Care Coordinator to join our team at Killean Residential Aged Care in Inverell, New South Wales.

About The Opportunity:

This is an opportunity to play a key role in coordinating high-quality, person-centred clinical care while supporting residents, families and our multidisciplinary care team.

Working closely with the Care Manager and reporting to the General Manager, you will help ensure each resident has a current, individualised care plan that reflects their clinical needs, preferences and goals.

About The Role:

As Care Coordinator, you will have a strong clinical presence within the home and work collaboratively with the broader care team to support safe, consistent and high-quality resident outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating and reviewing person-centred resident care plans
• Completing clinical assessments and responding to changes in residents' needs
• Supporting admissions and ensuring new residents are appropriately assessed
• Working closely with residents, families and healthcare professionals
• Maintaining high standards of clinical documentation
• Providing and supporting direct nursing care when required
• Monitoring wounds, falls, clinical deterioration and other areas of clinical risk
• Supporting medication management, infection control and clinical audits
• Assisting with investigation and close-out of clinical incidentsGuiding, supporting and developing nurses and care staff
• Supporting staff orientation, competency assessment and education
• Promoting best-practice care, continuous improvement and strong clinical governance.

About You:

We are looking for an RN who can combine strong clinical knowledge with genuine leadership and a commitment to person-centred care. You will be someone who can confidently engage and support staff, collaborate with residents and families, contribute to continuous improvement and help ensure our clinical practices meet professional standards and legislative requirements.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Bachelor of Nursing
• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Experience working within residential aged care
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation and nursing practice skills
• Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Confidence using Microsoft applications and clinical information systems.
• Experience in a similar clinical leadership role, knowledge of aged care accreditation and quality improvement programs, and a current driver's licence will be highly regarded.
