Job summary

Bolton Clarke Group's Heritage Lodge in Murwillumbah, NSW, seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to uphold high-quality care for residents. You will assess, plan, and monitor individual needs within the care team.

You’ll work with residents, families and clinicians, ensure compliance, and contribute to a supportive, not-for-profit culture focused on positive ageing and community.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration.
• Experience in aged care is desirable.
• Valid working rights in Australia.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families and all levels of staff.
• Willingness to complete police check and NDIS Worker Check.

Responsibilities

• Complete the initial assessment and care planning; ongoing management and evaluation of residents' care needs within scope of practice.
• Implement the nursing care plan as assessed for each resident by the health care team and the resident/representative.
• Liaise with visiting medical officers and other health professionals and residents/relatives in planning, implementation and evaluation of care needs.
• Deliver holistic, person-centred care using the resident's care plan.
• Supervise, manage and monitor the standard of care delivered to residents to meet individualised needs.
• Assess and plan residents' care needs on an ongoing basis and update documentation as per protocol.

The Location Heritage Lodge, a 103 bed residential aged care facility located in Murwillumbah in the Tweed Shire, 13km south of the Queensland border. Surrounded by homely comforts and beautiful gardens, we enjoy a close-knit community that feels more like a family.

The Role Reporting to our Care Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring a consistently high quality of care is provided to our residents, to facilitate and support their continued enjoyment of life within their level of capability. Key accountabilities include:

• Completing the initial assessment and care planning; and the ongoing management and evaluation of resident's individual care needs within the scope of practice.
• Implementing the nursing care plan as assessed for each resident by the health care team and the resident / representative.
• Liaising with visiting medical officers and other health professionals and residents / relatives in the planning, implementation and evaluation of the resident's care needs.
• Delivering to residents a holistic concept of care using the resident's care plan, utilising the 'Person Centred Care' approach.
• Supervising, managing and monitoring the standard of care delivered to the residents, ensuring that the care is individualised and person-centred according to resident's individualised care needs.
• Assessing and planning residents' care needs on an ongoing basis and updating documentation as per protocol.

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Registered Nurse.
• In aged care is desirable.
• Relevant qualifications and AHPRA registration.
• Registered Nurse experience.
• Valid working rights in Australia (Passport, Birth Certificate etc).
• Complete a police check and/or a NDIS Workers Check (or willingness to obtain) prior to commencement.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families and all levels of staff.
• Strong passion for working with the elderly and dedication to professional growth.
