Job summary

The Leukaemia Foundation is seeking a healthcare professional to strengthen clinical governance, quality systems and service improvement within the Health Services team in Brisbane. You’ll support governance, accreditation, risk management and continuous improvement initiatives.

Ideal candidates bring nursing or allied health qualifications and a strong background in governance, quality frameworks and patient safety. This role offers hybrid work and flexible hours across 3–5 days per week.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Nursing, Allied Health or another relevant health discipline.
• Experience supporting clinical governance, quality improvement, patient safety, accreditation or continuous improvement activities within a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of clinical governance principles, healthcare quality frameworks and accreditation standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
• A proactive approach and commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical governance activities that support safe, high-quality care.
• Drive quality improvement initiatives that strengthen clinical outcomes and service delivery.
• Support accreditation activities and ensure governance systems meet relevant standards.
• Monitor clinical incidents, feedback and risks to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Coordinate clinical audits and track improvement actions through to completion.
• Manage clinical policies, procedures, and document control processes.
• Support clinical training, capability programs, and compliance activities.
• Partner with clinical teams to embed a positive, learning-focused culture of quality and safety.
