Job summary

The University of Sydney is seeking a Senior Education Support Officer (Clinical) to lead the Central Clinical School Education Support Team and ensure high-quality delivery of the Sydney Medical School Doctor of Medicine (MD) program. Based mainly at the Susan Wakil Health Building, Camperdown, you will coordinate clinical teaching, timetabling and student activities with a focus on service excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience leading education support in a tertiary or health environment.
• Experience supervising and developing staff, with performance management.
• Knowledge of university admin processes and policies in higher education.
• Experience with learning management systems, timetabling and scheduling.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication with stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Zoom and Teams.
• Willingness to move across campus for hands-on teaching support.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Central Clinical School Education Support Team with supervision and development.
• Coordinate operational support for clinical teaching activities, including assessments and exams.
• Oversee timetabling and scheduling of clinical education with clear communication to stakeholders.
• Provide high-level administrative support to managers and academic leaders across linked schools and districts.
• Support staff development through performance reviews and career planning.
• Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement of education services.
