Job summary

Butter Fish Services is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Practitioner in New South Wales to deliver person-centred behaviour support.

You will work with participants, families and teams, completing functional assessments and developing plans. You will travel regionally and rural locations as required, with weekly supervision and mentoring from an Advanced Practitioner to support your professional development.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications in psychology, behaviour science, social work, occupational therapy, counselling, disability or a related discipline.
• Experience in positive behaviour support, disability or allied health.
• Willingness to undertake regional and rural travel.
• Current driver’s licence and reliable access to a vehicle.
• Relevant NDIS screening and other required clearances.
• Strong communication, report-writing and organisational skills.
• A person-centred approach and commitment to ethical practice.
• Part-time or full-time employment.
• Weekly professional supervision.

• Developing and reviewing Behaviour Support Plans
• Providing practical, evidence-informed behaviour support strategies
• Working collaboratively with participants, families and support teams
• Providing guidance and training to support workers and other stakeholders
• Completing high-quality reports and clinical documentation
• Monitoring participant outcomes and reviewing strategies
• Supporting positive behaviour and participant quality of life
• Travelling to regional and rural locations as required
