Job summary

The Small Animal Specialist Hospital (SASH) Alexandria is seeking a Full-Time Client Services Officer to join our 24-hour practice. The role involves greeting clients, managing front-of-house, booking appointments, handling calls, and processing payments in a fast-paced, pet‑loving environment.

You should have at least 2 years' reception or admin experience, strong communication, initiative, empathy, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience in a high-volume reception or administrative role.
• Strong initiative and ability to prioritise tasks in a busy environment.
• Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
• Reliable, positive and proactive attitude.
• Ability to stay calm and empathetic, even under pressure.
• A passion for animals and delivering outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and manage front-of-house areas, including waiting rooms.
• Handle a high volume of income calls and emails using multiple systems.
• Coordinate and book appointments across various departments.
• Act as a liaison between clients and clinical staff.
• Process payments (cash, EFTPOS, and insurance claims).
• Request results, samples, and documentation from third parties.

About the Role:

This is no ordinary reception role – each day brings new challenges andopportunities to make a meaningful impact.It'struly a reception position like no other.
We'reseekingapplicants for aFull-Timerole,with availabilitybetween6:00 AM and 2:00 AM. As we are a 24-hour facility, this team works amixture of shifts including nights and weekends.
KeyResponsibilities:
