Job summary

DSS Facilities is seeking an experienced cleaning operations leader to oversee day-to-day activities across council and commercial contracts in the Sydney area. The role focuses on delivering contract-compliant cleaning services, managing staff, and maintaining strong relationships with council representatives and other stakeholders.

Ideal candidates will have proven experience with commercial cleaning contracts, strong KPI and reporting capabilities, and the ability to travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing commercial cleaning contracts.
• Experience with councils/government clients preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning scopes, KPIs, and contract compliance.
• Experience managing multiple sites and operational budgets.
• Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience conducting audits, inspections and management reporting.
• Good computer skills and experience with reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day cleaning operations across contracts.
• Maintain relationships with council representatives and stakeholders.
• Ensure all contractual obligations and SLAs are met.
• Conduct site inspections, quality audits and performance reviews.
• Manage supervisors, team leaders and staff across locations.
• Monitor attendance, rosters, timesheets and labour costs.
• Handle client complaints, incidents and corrective actions.
• Prepare monthly reports and performance documentation.
• Monitor KPIs and contract compliance.
• Ensure WHS compliance and company procedures.
