Job summary

Succession Recruitment Pty Ltd is partnering with a reputable Melbourne-based insurance brokerage to recruit a Client Executive for the SME team. The role focuses on day-to-day SME portfolio management, client liaison, and close collaboration with underwriters.

You will handle new business, renewals, proposals, and quotations, binding coverage and policy administration while maintaining client records and supporting growth initiatives. Hybrid work environment in Melbourne.

Qualifications

• Recent SME/Commercial broking experience.
• Strong knowledge across commercial insurance classes.
• Tier 1 broking qualification (Essential).
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Confidence talking to clients and building relationships.

Responsibilities

Our client is a highly regarded insurance brokerage with a loyal client base and a people-first culture. As the business continues to grow they are looking for a Client Executive to join the SME team in Melbourne.

As a Client Executive, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of a SME portfolio, working closely with clients, underwriters and a supportive team.

You will also be:

• Processing new business and renewals
• Preparing insurance proposals, submissions and client documentation
• Obtaining and negotiating insurance quotations
• Binding coverage and assisting with policy administration
• Resolving client and policy-related queries and maintaining accurate client records
• Supporting the wider broking team and contributing to new business opportunities

To Excel in the role, you will have:

• Recent experience in a SME/Commercial broking role
• Strong knowledge across a range of commercial insurance classes
• Tier 1 broking qualification (Essential)
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Confidence talking to clients and building relationships
