LexisNexis Legal & Professional is seeking a Client Development Partner in Australia, with the role based in Sydney or Melbourne and flexible home/office arrangements. You will lead lawyer-to-lawyer engagements with top accounts to drive Protégé adoption and give strategic demos that translate workflow priorities into AI-enabled solutions.

Applicants should be legally trained with 5+ years practicing law and experience in pre- and post-sales within SaaS or legal services.

Qualifications

• Legally trained professional with a practice background.
• 5+ years as a practicing lawyer preferred with pre- and post-sales experience.
• Experience in large law firms or in-house legal environments is a plus.
• AI fluency or exposure to AI in legal workflows is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Drive Protégé adoption in top accounts by engaging senior legal stakeholders lawyer-to-lawyer.
• Build trusted relationships with practice leaders and translate priorities into AI-enabled workflows.
• Deliver high-impact demos and presentations showing legal work improvements.
• Collaborate with Relationship Managers to research prospects and pursue opportunities.
• Capture customer insights in CRM and feed learnings back to the business.

Help leading law firms embed trusted legal AI into daily practice

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Client Development Partner to join our team. Are you an experienced Relationship Manager, adept at driving growth and managing ongoing commercial relationships in the SaaS/Legal industry? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

This role is part of a global initiative creating ‘white glove’ post‑sale roles that go into top accounts to work lawyer‑to‑lawyer and drive use and adoption of LexisNexis Protégé and workflow solutions.

You will engage directly with lawyers, heads of department and practice area heads (rather than knowledge managers) to secure support and endorsement for Protégé adoption.

This is a permanent full-time role based either in Sydney or Melbourne with combined home/office-based arrangements to have flexible work-life balance.

Responsibilities

• Drive adoption of Protégé in top accounts by working lawyer‑to‑lawyer with senior legal stakeholders.
• Build trusted relationships with practice leaders and translate workflow priorities into practical AI-enabled solutions.
• Deliver high‑impact demos/presentations that show how Protégé improves legal work and outcomes.
• Partnering with Relationship Managers/Directors to research prospects and execute pursuit strategies that build senior‑level relationships and create new business opportunities (pre‑sales activities)
• Capture customer insights in CRM and feed learnings back to the business to shape engagement and recommendations.

Requirements

• Legally trained professional (lawyer background is required).
• 5 years’ experience as a practicing lawyer is preferred, with pre‑sales and post‑sales background
• Preferred: experience from large law firms or in‑house corporate legal; beneficial exposure to AI and cyber security practice areas.
• AI fluency.
• Executive presence; able to engage partners / firm leadership and deliver persuasive presentations/demos.
