Respect in Maleny is seeking a Cleaning Services Assistant to maintain a safe, clean environment for residents, staff, and visitors in a residential aged care setting.

We offer Part-time and Casual roles with shifts across weekends. You will follow infection-control standards, handle cleaning chemicals safely, and contribute to a welcoming home-like atmosphere with reliable, friendly teamwork.

Qualifications

• NDIS worker screen is required or able to be obtained.
• Induction check is required or able to be obtained.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in residential aged care is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Clean and sanitise resident rooms, bathrooms and shared living areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of lounges, dining rooms, corridors, and staff areas.
• Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals and equipment per procedures.
• Dispose of waste and manage linen following safety guidelines.
• Follow cleaning schedules to maintain high-quality standards.

About The Role

As a Cleaning Services Assistant, you’ll play an important role in maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. Working within a residential aged care setting, you’ll be responsible for cleaning resident rooms, shared areas, and facilities while upholding high standards of hygiene and infection control. We have a Part-time and Casual roles available and require reliable team members who is flexible to work across a rotating roster, including weekends where required. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys contributing to a positive, home-like environment. No two days are the same! As a Cleaning Services Assistant, you will:

• Clean and sanitise resident rooms, bathrooms, and shared living areas in line with infection control standards
• Maintain cleanliness of common areas including lounges, dining rooms, corridors, and staff areas
• Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals and equipment according to workplace procedures
• Dispose of waste and manage linen in accordance with hygiene and safety guidelines
• Follow cleaning schedules and workplace procedures to maintain consistent, high-quality standards

• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
• Flexible to work weekends and varying shifts as required
• Able to follow cleaning procedures and infection control guidelines
• A good communicator who can follow instructions and safety requirements
• Able to work effectively within a supportive team environment

Requirements

• NDIS worker screen and Induction check (or ability to acquire).
• Relevant Experience
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in residential aged care. (desirable)
• To be considered for employment with Respect, each candidate must satisfy the legislative requirements of Aged Care Worker Screening to ensure suitability to work in the aged care industry.
