Job summary

Respect Group’s Maleny facility is seeking a Cleaning Services Assistant to help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors. You will clean resident rooms, shared spaces, and facilities in a residential aged care setting, following infection control standards and workplace procedures.

Part-time and casual roles are available, with weekends and rotating shifts as required.

Qualifications

• NDIS worker screening and Induction check (or ability to acquire).
• Relevant Experience
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in residential aged care (desirable).
• To be considered for employment with Respect, each candidate must satisfy the legislative requirements of Aged Care Worker Screening.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitise resident rooms, bathrooms, and shared living areas in line with infection control standards
• Maintain cleanliness of common areas including lounges, dining rooms, corridors, and staff areas
• Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals and equipment according to workplace procedures
• Dispose of waste and manage linen in accordance with hygiene and safety guidelines
• Follow cleaning schedules and workplace procedures to maintain consistent, high-quality standards

About the Role:

As a Cleaning Services Assistant, you’ll play an important role in maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. Working within a residential aged care setting, you’ll be responsible for cleaning resident rooms, shared areas, and facilities while upholding high standards of hygiene and infection control.

We have a Part-time and Casual roles available and require reliable team members who is flexible to work across a rotating roster, including weekends where required. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys contributing to a positive, home-like environment.
