Job summary

City FM is seeking a reliable cleaner for evening shifts in the Newcastle–Maitland area. You will clean activity rooms, amenities and shared spaces, disinfect high-touch surfaces, and maintain a safe, tidy environment in partnership with Goodstart Early Learning.

The role offers an hourly rate with part-time loading, uniform and PPE provided, and exclusive retailer discounts. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential, with valid Australian work rights required.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Previous cleaning experience preferred but not essential.
• Smartphone for work communication.
• Valid working rights in Australia.
• Driver’s license and own car preferred.
• Willing to obtain Police Check or Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Clean activity rooms, amenities, and shared spaces.
• Disinfect high-touch surfaces like handles and switches.
• Dust, vacuum, mop, and spot-clean doors and windows.
• Safely use chemicals, equipment, and machinery.
• Perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and kneeling.
• Follow all OH&S policies and procedures.
