Job summary

City Facilities Management Ltd. is seeking a cleaner to support our Goodstart Early Learning partner sites in the Newcastle-Maitland area. You will keep activity rooms and shared spaces tidy, ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for children and staff.

Reliable hours are Monday to Friday, 7pm–9pm, with part-time loading and a competitive hourly rate. Prior cleaning experience is preferred but not required; applicants must have valid working rights in Australia and be willing to obtain a Police

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience preferred, not essential.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Must have smartphone for work communication.
• Valid working rights in Australia.
• Driver’s licence and access to a car (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Clean activity rooms, amenities, and shared spaces.
• Disinfect high-touch surfaces like handles and switches.
• Dust, vacuum, mop, and spot-clean doors and windows.
• Safely use chemicals, equipment, and machinery.
• Perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and kneeling.
• Follow all OH&S policies and procedures.
