Job summary

Bolton Clarke Group in Brisbane's Bayside Thornlands region is seeking a dedicated cleaning assistant for our Moreton Shores aged care home. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents and staff each shift.

You should have prior aged care or hotel services experience, be reliable, able to follow directions, and flexible with shifts. Pre-employment checks, including a National Police Check, apply, along with valid Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Keep all areas of the facility clean and well maintained.

• Replenish cleaning trolleys as required.

The Role

You will be part of a team dedicated to our residents, contributing to a model of care that goes above and beyond every day. Every day you will be making a difference in people’s lives, building fabulous relationships with our residents and their families.

• Ensure that all areas of the facility are clean and maintained at a high standard at all times
• Vacuuming, mopping and polishing floors
• Dusting, polishing and general tidying
• Cleaning bathroom facilities
• Attending to residents' personal requirements by ensuring the cleanliness of bedside cupboards, tables and other equipment or furniture located in the residents' room
• Assist with the provision of a safe, efficient and hygienic care service through maintaining a clean environment and adhering to infection control practices.
• Replenish and restock cleaning trolleys as required

To be successful, you will have:

• Previous aged care or hotel services experience (desirable)
• Willingness to take direction from others
• Reliability and shift flexibility
• Good time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure
• Valid working rights in Australia (Passport, Birth Certificate, etc.)
• Pre employment checks; including completing a National Police Check
