Job summary

St Michael's Catholic Primary School Belfield is seeking a Classroom Teacher to inspire students through engaging, student‑centred teaching within a Catholic learning environment.

You will bring a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience, be skilled in K-6 curriculum, English and Mathematics pedagogy for Early Stage 1/Stage 1, strong classroom management, and a commitment to collaboration with staff and the wider school community.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience as a teacher
• Expertise in implementing the K-6 Curriculum with focus in Early Stage 1 and Stage 1
• Expertise in English and Mathematics pedagogy for Early Stage 1 and Stage 1
• Strong classroom management with understanding of Positive Behaviours for Learning
• Ability to authentically differentiate learning experiences in response to data
• Willingness to work cooperatively with all staff
• Willingness to support the school in ventures such as choir, religious retreat days, lunch clubs
• A tertiary qualification in Education and NESA accreditation
• Religious Education qualifications or willingness to achieve them as per Accreditation Policy

About You

• willingness to work cooperatively with all staff
• willingness to support the school in different ventures throughout the year e.g. choir, religious retreat days, lunch clubs
• a tertiary qualification in Education and NESA accreditation
• Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead.
