St Paul’s College, Kempsey invites applications for the position of Classroom and Learning Support. This part-time temporary role is 36 hours per fortnight, commencing 28 January 2027, for 12 months.

It is classified under NSW Catholic Schools Enterprise Agreement Level 4 (averaged). Applicants must have NSW Working with Children Check, be committed to Catholic ethos, and have experience supporting students with special needs, including awareness of allergies and EpiPen training.

Qualifications

• knowledge of and commitment to the Catholic ethos and mission of the school.
• experience in working with children with special needs, including children on the autistic spectrum
• awareness of the needs of students with diagnosed allergies and training in the use of EpiPen
• ability to successfully implement programs and document progress regarding individual and/or small group support
• preparedness to undergo further training in aiding children with special needs
• experience in working collaboratively with teaching staff in a classroom environment

Classification & Benefits:

This role is classified as Level 4 (averaged) under the NSW and ACT Systemic Catholic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2025 as updated or reviewed.

Applicants must:

• hold a valid NSW Working with Children Check
• comply with the Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead Policy upon appointment

Applicants must be able to demonstrate the following criteria:

• a knowledge of and commitment to the Catholic ethos and mission of the school.
• experience in working with children with special needs, including children on the autistic spectrum
• awareness of the needs of students with diagnosed allergies and training in the use of EpiPen
• ability to successfully implement programs and document progress regarding individual and/or small group support
• preparedness to undergo further training in aiding children with special needs
• experience in working collaboratively with teaching staff in a classroom environment
