Job summary

Allianz Australia is seeking a dedicated Claims Performance and Insight Specialist for Sydney to strengthen financial analysis across Consumer GI Claims, with a focus on Motor and Property portfolios.

You will develop reporting, analyse data from multiple sources, identify trends and drive performance improvements, delivering actionable insights to support decisions across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Experience in claims, insurance, finance, consulting, BI or operational performance analysis.
• Strong numerical and analytical background with ability to interpret data and identify trends.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, dashboards, and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen financial analysis capabilities for GI Claims, focusing on Motor and Property portfolios.
• Develop and maintain performance reporting frameworks, dashboards, scorecards and portfolio reporting.
• Investigate data from multiple sources to identify trends, drivers, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Conduct root-cause analyses and partner with Claims teams to design and monitor improvements.
• Deliver actionable insights, recommendations and high-quality reports for decision-making.
• Present updates to stakeholders and support portfolio performance decisions.

About The Role

• This is a newly created role designed to strengthen our financial analysis capabilities and provide support to the Senior Manager, Portfolio Performance.
• Support business performance management across GI Claims, with a focus on Motor and Property Claims portfolios.
• Develop and maintain performance reporting frameworks, dashboards, scorecards, and portfolio reporting to monitor key operational and financial metrics.
• Investigate, analyse and interpret data from multiple sources to identify trends, performance drivers, anomalies, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and partner with Claims teams to design, implement, and monitor performance improvement initiatives.
• Deliver actionable insights, recommendations, and high-quality reports, presentations, and stakeholder updates to support decision-making and portfolio performance.

About You

• Experience in claims, insurance, finance, consulting, business intelligence, or operational performance analysis, with exposure to performance reporting and business insights.
• Strong numerical, accounting, and analytical background, with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, uncover root causes, and apply commercial thinking to business decisions.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, dashboard development, and performance reporting tools.
• Proven ability to translate data into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations that drive business performance, support decision-making, and deliver continuous improvement outcomes.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and prioritisation skills, with the ability to present complex analysis clearly and collaborate effectively across multiple teams and competing priorities.
• A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
