QBE Insurance Group in Melbourne is seeking an experienced claims professional to own end-to-end property claims across water damage, fire, theft and catastrophe-related events. The role requires applying case management expertise to assess, process, and resolve claims with empathy.

Qualifications

• Experience in claims, case management, customer service, banking, insurance, or broader financial services environments with strong customer focus.
• Demonstrated portfolio management experience, handling multiple claims or clients concurrently.
• Confident in engaging with a wide range of stakeholders and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of end-to-end property claims management across perils including water damage, fire, theft and malicious damage, plus catastrophe-related claims.

Join our Farm & Householder and Catastrophe Claims teams, where you'll manage end-to-end property claims across a diverse portfolio. From water damage and fire losses to theft, malicious damage and large-scale catastrophe events, you'll play a critical role in helping customers recover when they need us most

Your new role

You will take ownership of end-to-end property claims management across a variety of perils, including water damage, fire, theft and malicious damage, as well as catastrophe-related claims arising from hail, cyclones, floods, bushfires and severe weather events.

Apply case managementexpertiseto assess, process, and resolve claims efficiently and empathetically.

Handle property claims with accuracy and compliance, ensuringtimelyand fair outcomes for customersimpactedby catastrophic events.

Operate independently in a hybrid environment while contributing to a high-performing, collaborative team.

Demonstrate resilience and sound judgement in a fast-pacedenvironment.

About you

• Experience in claims, case management, customer service, banking, insurance, or broader financial services environments, with strong customer focus and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Demonstrated portfolio management experience, managing multiple claims or clients concurrently.
• Confident engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, withstrong communicationand relationship management skills.
• Proven ability to navigate competing priorities, resolve conflict, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and compliance.
• Customer-focused mindset with experience in roles involving multiple touchpoints and service delivery.
• Excellent project management, communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to proactively remove barriers, drive accountability across all parties, and deliver timely customer outcomes.
