Job summary

Insure More is seeking a hands-on claims & broking support professional to lodge, progress, and advocate for clients through to settlement. You will negotiate outcomes, support policy administration, renewals, and submissions for new business, while maintaining accurate records and delivering excellent client service.

The role requires RG146 compliance or willingness to complete it within early employment and prior claims handling experience.

Responsibilities

Job description

This is a hands-on role supporting brokers across the full client lifecycle, with a strong focus on claims advocacy, from lodging and progressing claims through to negotiating settlements on clients' behalf, alongside broader broking support duties.

Key responsibilities

Manage the claims process end to end. Lodge, progress, and advocate for clients on claims, liaising with insurers and, where relevant, loss adjusters through to settlement.

Negotiate claim outcomes. Push for fair and timely settlements on the client's behalf, keeping them informed at every stage.

Support the broking team. Assist with policy administration, renewals, mid-term adjustments, and preparing submissions for new business.

Maintain accurate records. Keep client files, claims registers, and policy documentation current and compliant.

Deliver client service. Respond to client queries professionally and promptly, building trust through clear communication.

Support compliance. Work within Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) obligations and the Insurance Brokers Code of Practice.

About you

RG146 Tier 1 (Insurance Broking) or Tier 2 (Insurance Broking) compliance, per ASIC's training standards, or a willingness to complete this within the first few months of employment.

Prior claims handling or broking support experience, gained with an insurer or an insurance brokerage; candidates with around 2 years+ in a similar role will be well placed.

Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to advocate firmly for clients while managing multiple claims and priorities at once.

Sound organisational and time-management skills, comfortable managing a busy caseload and competing deadlines.

Proficiency with broking software and MS Office.

Prior exposure to a broking management system (Insight or Steadfast Apps) is desirable but not necessary.
