Job summary

MMorgan Consulting in Melbourne/Sydney is seeking a Claims Account Manager to join our national claims team. Hybrid working allows you to manage a portfolio of complex insurance claims with oversight from senior colleagues.

This role suits a law-qualified insurance professional or an experienced Motor Claims specialist, capable of assessing liability, negotiating settlements, and delivering timely, commercial outcomes for insurer clients.

Qualifications

• LLB and at least 2 years post-graduate experience within insurance claims.
• Strong Motor/Property Claims experience (law degree not required for motor claims specialists)
• Experience with insurers, underwriting agencies, claims management businesses or loss adjusting organisations
• Strong analytical, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to assess liability, interpret policy coverage and drive claims to resolution

Responsibilities

• Manage an end-to-end portfolio of complex insurance claims
• Assess liability, indemnity and financial exposure
• Set and review reserves
• Develop effective claims strategies for timely, commercial outcomes
• Liaise with insurers, brokers, insureds, lawyers and external service providers
• Negotiate settlements and resolve disputes
• Identify recovery opportunities where appropriate
• Prepare high-quality reports and recommendations for clients
• Maintain excellent client relationships through proactive communication
• Manage a busy portfolio while delivering service excellence

We're partnering with a leading specialist claims and legal services organisation that manages complex insurance claims on behalf of Australia's largest insurers. Due to continued growth, they're looking to appoint a Claims Account Managers to join their established teams.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on technically challenging claims, manage your own portfolio, and build your expertise within a collaborative and supportive environment.
Who we're looking for

We're keen to speak with candidates who have:

• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and at least 2 year post-graduate experience within insurance claims, OR
• Strong Motor/Property Claims experience (law degree not required for motor claims specialists)
• Experience working for an insurer, underwriting agency, claims management business, legal practice or loss adjusting organisation
• Strong analytical, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• The ability to assess liability, interpret policy coverage and drive claims through to resolution
