Job summary

Western Downs Regional Council invites applications for a role supporting the Works Coordinator in delivering the council’s construction and maintenance programs. The successful candidate will plan, organise and deliver works to standards, supervise projects and staff, and interpret engineering documents to ensure timely completion within budget.

• Experience with construction and maintenance of civil assets.
• Experience supervising projects and staff.
• Ability to interpret engineering documents and plan projects.
• Ability to plan, organise and carry out works to standards, on time and within budget.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to the Works Coordinator in delivering annual construction and maintenance programs.
• Plan, organise and carry out works in accordance with standards, on time and within budget.

• Interpret engineering documents and plan projects.
• Use sound judgement and initiative to resolve matters.
