Job summary

Western Downs Regional Council in Australia invites applications for a Ganger who will support the Works Supervisor and lead construction and maintenance tasks to sustain our community infrastructure and improve regional liveability.

Ideally you hold a Certificate III in Civil Construction or demonstrated equivalent experience, with plant operation competency, an OH&S White Card, and an LR licence (HR is desirable or obtainable).

Qualifications

• Must hold a Certificate III in Civil Construction or have equivalent related experience.
• Verification of Competency in plant operation is desirable.
• OH&S Construction Safety Induction White Card is required or to be completed.
• Open 'LR' class drivers licence is required or willingness to obtain.
• Heavy Rigid (HR) driver's licence would be desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform construction and maintenance tasks under the Works Supervisor.
• Provide high level support to ensure sustainability of community and council infrastructure.
• Contribute to improving liveability and environment in the Western Downs region.
