Job summary

Monadelphous is seeking a Project Engineer - Civil & Structural with current RPEQ to support a major gas turbine power station project in Queensland. The role covers civil and structural scopes across engineering, procurement and construction, initially from the project office before transitioning to site on a 2:1 roster.

This role requires engineering leadership, construction readiness, and a focus on safety and quality to deliver successful outcomes throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Current RPEQ registration is mandatory.
• Degree qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Proven experience delivering civil and/or structural scopes within power generation, energy, oil & gas, mining or heavy industrial projects.
• Demonstrated success in a Project Engineer, Civil Engineer, Structural Engineer or similar project delivery role.
• Strong understanding of multidisciplinary engineering and construction delivery within major project environments.
• Sound knowledge of Australian Standards, engineering governance and design compliance requirements.
• Ability to provide engineering assurance and make informed technical decisions in a construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate civil and structural engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities.
• Provide technical support to ensure engineering deliverables align with construction and project requirements.
• Manage interfaces across engineering, procurement, quality, commercial, project controls and construction teams.
• Support project planning, forecasting, scheduling and progress reporting for assigned work packages.
• Manage technical queries, design changes and engineering issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review drawings, specifications and technical documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements and standards.
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and client representatives to resolve technical and delivery matters.
• Monitor construction progress and provide engineering support to maintain safety, productivity and project milestones.
• Support construction readiness, commissioning activities and project close-out.
• Promote a strong culture of safety, collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
