INTEC Energy Solutions is building a dedicated Civils Division across Australia and New Zealand and is recruiting a Civil Site Engineer to drive quality and delivery on major renewable energy and infrastructure projects. The role focuses on managing QA/QC processes, coordinating inspections, and ensuring construction activities meet project specifications and standards on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline (or equivalent industry experience).
• 3-7 years' experience as Site Engineer/Project Engineer/QA Engineer/Contractor Quality Rep in civil construction, infrastructure, renewables or major projects.
• Strong understanding of QA/QC processes, ITPs, inspections, hold/witness points, and construction compliance.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain project quality systems; ensure works comply with drawings, specs, ITPs and client requirements.
• Coordinate inspections, hold points, witness points, and verification activities with site teams and clients.
• Manage quality issues, NCRs, and corrective actions through to close-out; identify prevention opportunities.

INTEC Energy Solutions has launched a dedicated Civils Division to deliver high-quality, large-scale civil infrastructure projects across Australia and New Zealand. Backed by INTEC’s global leadership in renewable energy, our team is building capability across site preparation, bulk earthworks, drainage, access roads, foundations, and high-voltage substation civil works.

With the division now established, we are recruiting experienced professionals to help shape our success from the ground up and support the delivery of major renewable energy and infrastructure projects.

About The Role

As the Civil Site Engineer - Quality & Delivery you will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of civil construction projects by managing quality assurance processes, technical coordination, and construction compliance on site.

Based on the project site, you will work closely with the Civil Superintendent, Operations Manager, supervisors, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure construction activities are completed in accordance with project specifications, approved documentation, inspection requirements, and quality standards.

This is an opportunity for a proactive Site Engineer who enjoys being involved in the delivery environment — combining technical knowledge, quality leadership, and practical problem-solving to identify issues early and support successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain project quality systems, ensuring construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), client requirements, and relevant standards.
• Coordinate inspections, hold points, witness points, and verification activities with site teams, client representatives, and third-party inspectors to ensure works meet required standards.
• Manage quality issues, NCRs, and corrective actions through to close‑out while identifying opportunities to prevent recurring issues and improve delivery outcomes.
• Support supervisors and delivery teams with interpretation of drawings, technical documentation, constructability considerations, and practical solutions to maintain project momentum.
• Maintain accurate quality records, inspection documentation, material traceability records, and support the preparation of as‑built documentation and project handover requirements.

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• 3-7 years’ experience in a Site Engineer, Project Engineer, QA Engineer, or Contractor Quality Representative role within civil construction, infrastructure, renewables, or major projects.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems, QA/QC processes, ITPs, inspections, hold points, witness points, and construction compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret engineering drawings, manage technical documentation, and work collaboratively with site teams to resolve construction challenges.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, subcontractors, supervisors, and project teams.

Experience working on utility‑scale solar, BESS, substation, or renewable energy projects, along with experience using electronic quality management systems and survey/GPS technology, will be highly regarded. Construction White Card and current Driver’s Licence required.
