Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.

Job Description

CITILINK PILING (NSW) PTY LTD Citilink Piling Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Civil / Site Engineer to join our team in Wilberforce NSW. The successful applicant will assist with the planning, coordination and supervision of civil construction works, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, quality requirements and project timelines. The role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent organisational skills and the ability to work closely with project managers, contractors, tradespeople and other stakeholders.

Task & responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day site activities, including trades, subcontractors, plant and equipment across active work areas. Supervise civil construction and piling works to ensure activities are completed safely, efficiently and according to project requirements.
• Conduct site inductions, pre-start meetings and toolbox talks, ensuring workers understand and comply with WHS requirements. Liaise with subcontractors to resolve technical and scope-related issues and maintain programme, quality and safety standards. Coordinate deep excavation works, including plant movements, spoil removal and subcontractor activities.
• Inspect piling, ground retention and shotcrete works against approved drawings, geotechnical specifications and project requirements. Monitor construction of capping beams and retention systems to ensure compliance with structural drawings and approved details. Coordinate and supervise crane activities in accordance with approved lift plans and site safety requirements.
• Prepare and maintain site quality and safety documentation, including ITPs and SWMS for high-risk activities. Monitor construction progress, quality and site performance and prepare progress and quality reports. Assist with identifying variations, preparing variation breakdowns and supporting commercial claims.
• Work closely with Project Managers, engineers, subcontractors and site teams to resolve technical issues and achieve project deadlines. Maintain occupational health and safety requirements across all site activities. Support project delivery in accordance with programme, cost, quality and safety requirements.

Qualification & experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline is required. Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in civil engineering, site engineering or the construction industry. Strong understanding of construction drawings, engineering specifications and site procedures.
• Experience in civil construction, foundations or piling works will be highly regarded. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Punctual, reliable and hard-working.
• Ability to multi-task and work effectively under project deadlines. Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills. Team player with a positive attitude and a strong commitment to workplace safety and quality.
