Indus Engineering Pty Ltd in Sydney is seeking a versatile Civil Engineer to join our team. You will design and manage civil infrastructure projects, prepare drawings and cost estimates, and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3+ years of civil engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and relevant engineering software.
• Strong knowledge of civil project controls, cost estimation, project scheduling, or design methodologies.
• Understanding of Australian Standards, WHS regulations, and building codes.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Prior experience in major civil infrastructure and water/wastewater projects is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, develop, and oversee civil engineering works, including pipelines, drainage, structural, and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Develop and maintain project work programs using Primavera P6 / MS Project.
• Perform quantity take-offs and BOQ reconciliation for civil works.
• Analyse project risks, prepare technical specifications, and manage variation orders and Extension of Time (EOT) evaluations.
• Conduct site inspections, technical assessments, and feasibility studies to ensure compliance with Australian Standards, WHS, and building codes.
• Prepare Construction Methodologies technical specifications and ensuring compliance with Australian standards and local regulations
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including structural, electrical, and environmental engineers
• Utilise AutoCAD and other engineering software to prepare detailed design.
• Assist in the procurement of subcontractors and materials based on project requirements
• Identify and resolve potential engineering challenges.
• Collaborate with project managers, client representatives, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.

We are currently seeking a versatile and multi-skilled Civil Engineer to join our team in Sydney. The ideal candidate will be a adaptable professional capable of multitasking across diverse technical areas, including preparing civil design, Primavera P6 project scheduling, first-principles cost estimation, and on-site project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, plan, develop, and oversee civil engineering works, including pipelines, drainage, structural, and infrastructure projects.
