Job summary

GYG Civil is seeking Civil Drainage Pipe Layers to join its team across South East Queensland, with projects from Coomera to Ipswich and Brisbane River. You will work laying pipe, building pits, and assisting with earthworks and pavements, sometimes away from home on regional opportunities.

Ideal candidates have drainage and pavement experience, at least 2 years as a pipelayer, and hold white card and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• A thorough understanding of drainage, including pavement construction and bulk earthworks highly desirable.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a pipelayer in civil construction
• Proven and demonstrated experience with precast and cast in pit,pipe and conduit
• All relevant tickets and licenses including white card and drivers license
• Ability to read plans and work autonomously without supervision
• Competency in laser setup, gps rover and dumpy to shoot levels and working in shoring boxes
• Proven attention to detail and confidence working with minimum tolerances
• Experience operating machinery highly desirable
• Previous experience on TMR/Main Roads drainage projects a bonus

Job description

GYG Civil Group is a leader in the Bulk Earthworks, Pavement, Plant Hire and Pipeline Construction industry and continually grows to meet ever expanding client needs.

With recent project wins and a healthy channel of work ahead, GYG Civil is growing! We are now seeking Civil Drainage Pipe Layers to join the team. You’ll be leading the charge while we’re laying pipe and building pits, otherwise on a machine or the shovel assisting with earthworks and pavements. We generally work from Coomera to Ipswich to the Brisbane River but are always on the lookout for regional opportunities so may involve working away from home.

What you'll bring:

A thorough understanding of drainage, including pavement construction and bulk earthworks highly desirable

Minimum 2 years' experience as a pipelayer in civil construction
