Job summary

McFadyen Group is seeking Civil Drainage Pipe Layers based in Brisbane and willing to travel across Queensland. Prior drainage project experience is essential.

You will read drawings, set up laser, use dumpy and staff to shoot levels, and work in shoring boxes. You should be prepared to live away from home when required and join a safety-focused, professional team backed by a national civil construction company.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a pipelayer in civil construction.
• Tickets and licenses including White Card and driver's license.
• Able to commit to living away from home works when required.
• Competent in reading drawings, laser setup, and level shooting with dumpy and staff.
• Attention to detail and ability to work with minimum tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings and set up equipment for drainage pipelines.
• Work with laser and dumpy/staff to shoot levels accurately.
• Operate in shoring boxes with attention to tolerances.
• Willingness to relocate or travel across Queensland as required.

What you'll bring

• Previous experience on TMR/Main Roads drainage projects
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a pipelayer in civil construction
• All relevant tickets and licenses including white card and drivers license
• Ability to commit to living away from home works when required
• Competency in reading drawings, laser setup, using dumpy and staff to shoot levels and working in shoring boxes
• Proven attention to detail and confidence working with minimum tolerances
