Job summary

Protech Group is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our civil construction team on subdivision projects across Mackay and surrounding areas. You will operate a 36T excavator on earthworks and land development, following plans and grade control systems.

This is an ongoing day-shift role with an ASAP start, offering a base rate of $49.00/hr plus penalties. A safety-focused, reliable operator with HR Licence and White Card is ideal; final trim experience is preferred.

We are currently seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join a busy civil construction team working on subdivision projects throughout Mackay and surrounding areas.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled operator looking for ongoing work, competitive rates, and a stable day-shift roster.
About the Role Operating a 36T Excavator, you will be involved in a variety of subdivision and civil construction works, including:

• Bulk and detailed earthworks
• Trenching and drainage installation
• Site preparation and land development projects
• Working from plans and grade control systems
• Final trim works (highly regarded)
• Maintaining a safe and productive work environment

What We’re Looking For To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Proven experience operating 36T excavators
• Final trim experience preferred
• Current HR Licence
• Current White Card
• Relevant RII Plant Operator Competencies
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Reliable transport and a strong work ethic
