Job summary

Egis is seeking a Civil Engineer to join the Urban Development team in Brisbane, focusing on land development and civil infrastructure. You will deliver designs and documentation for land development projects, with a growing portfolio across South East Queensland.

You will handle drainage, water and sewer design, and prepare servicing reports, working with sub-consultants and internal teams. Flexibility for full-time, part-time, or job-share is welcome.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years’ experience as a civil engineer within a consultancy environment.
• Knowledge of land development and/or infrastructure projects in Queensland.
• Ability to manage multiple projects within budget and on time.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisation and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagements and business development.

• Design of major and minor drainage infrastructure with hydrological principles and water management
• Deliver and manage water and sewer designs per SEQ Water standards

Join our Urban Development team as a Civil Engineer! In this opportunity, you will focus on delivering comprehensive design and documentation for land development and civil infrastructure projects. With a strong portfolio of award-winning projects in hand across South East QLD, our team continues to grow and we'd love for you to join us!

You will be responsible for

• Deliver and manage Civil and Infrastructure designs within broad acre greenfield and brownfield redevelopment
• Design of major and minor drainage infrastructure with an understanding of hydrological principles with appropriate water management and treatments
• Deliver and manage water and sewer designs in accordance with SEQ Water standards
• Prepare relevant servicing and development reports
• Work closely with the other members of the Urban Development team and sub-consultants
• Fostering relationships with current and potential clients building on your existing networks to generate new business

Qualifications

Ideally, you will have a minimum of 3+ years’ experience as a civil engineer within a consultancy environment with demonstrated knowledge of land development and/or infrastructure projects local to QLD. In addition, you will also have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering
• A thorough understanding of civil design principles pertaining to land development, storm water, civil infrastructure, roads and/or mining/resources
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and ability to run projects within budget and on time
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organisation and interpersonal skills for facilitating internal and external stakeholder engagements and business development opportunities
