Job summary

Egis in ANZ is seeking a Senior Engineer - Civil to lead large-scale development projects across South East Queensland from Brisbane. You will manage projects through feasibility, concept and design, to construction administration, while guiding multi-disciplinary teams to exceed client expectations.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years of civil engineering experience in urban development, a Civil Engineering degree, and RPEQ eligibility.

Qualifications

• 7+ years' experience as a civil engineer with urban development (brownfield/greenfield), water and transport engineering for civil infrastructure projects in South East Queensland.
• A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Washington Accord).
• RPEQ or willingness to obtain.
• Project management across project lifecycle, from concept to delivery, to meet and/exceed client expectations.
• Strong technical expertise in civil design with knowledge of Australian Standards and Local Council Planning Schemes.
• Strong understanding of greenfield projects with land development / subdivision expertise.
• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagements.
• Motivation to progress career within consultancy and mentoring junior engineers.

Job Description

Join our Urban Development team in Brisbane and work on award winning projects across South East Queensland! As a part of a truly integrated national team, you will also have exposure and opportunity to work on projects nationally. We're seeking a Senior Engineer - Civil to work on primarily large-scale development projects with as well as commercial, industrial, and medium-density projects with a generalist approach across water and transport engineering.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Project management across the different stages of the project lifecycle from feasibility studies, concept and detailed design through to construction administration and certification on behalf of clients
• Lead project teams of engineers, designers and drafters to deliver project to exceed client requirements on time and within budget
• Deliver high quality proposal documentation, fee estimation, methodology development, client liaison and contract negotiation
• Assist in reviewing technical deliverables such as technical reports, detail designs and construction quality assurance data etc. to ensure compliance to relevant standards

Qualifications

Ideally, you will have 7+ years' experience as a civil engineer with demonstrated technical expertise across urban development (brownfield/greenfield), water and transport engineering for civil infrastructure projects local to South East Queensland. In addition, you will also have:

• A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Washington Accord)
• RPEQ or willingness to obtain
• Project management across project lifecycle, from concept to delivery, to meet and/exceed client expectations.
• Strong technical expertise in civil design with knowledge of relevant guidelines, Australian Standards, and Local Council Planning Schemes.
• Strong understanding of greenfield projects, with a strong desire for land development / subdivision expertise.
• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills for facilitating internal and external stakeholder engagements.
• Motivation to progress own career within consultancy with a good attitude to uplifting and mentoring junior engineers and designers.
