Job summary

Egis is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Urban Development team in Brisbane, working on large-scale development projects across South East Queensland, with exposure to national projects.

You will lead project teams, manage feasibility through to construction and certification, and deliver high-quality design and documentation for water and transport infrastructure, while mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ civil engineering experience with urban development, water and transport projects in SE Queensland.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Washington Accord).
• RPEQ or willingness to obtain.
• Experience across project lifecycle from concept to delivery.
• Strong technical expertise in civil design and familiarity with Australian Standards and Local Council Planning Schemes.
• Understanding of greenfield projects and land development/subdivision.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Motivation to progress within consultancy and mentor juniors.

Responsibilities

• Project management across the different stages of the project lifecycle from feasibility studies, concept and detailed design through to construction administration and certification on behalf of clients
• Lead project teams of engineers, designers and drafters to deliver project to exceed client requirements on time and within budget
• Deliver high quality proposal documentation, fee estimation, methodology development, client liaison and contract negotiation
• Assist in reviewing technical deliverables such as technical reports, detail designs and construction quality assurance data etc. to ensure compliance to relevant standards

About the Role

Join our Urban Development team in Brisbane and work on award winning projects across South East Queensland! As a part of a truly integrated national team, you will also have exposure and opportunity to work on projects nationally. We're seeking a Senior Engineer - Civil to work on primarily large-scale development projects with as well as commercial, industrial, and medium-density projects with a generalist approach across water and transport engineering.

You'll be responsible for:

• Project management across the different stages of the project lifecycle from feasibility studies, concept and detailed design through to construction administration and certification on behalf of clients
• Lead project teams of engineers, designers and drafters to deliver project to exceed client requirements on time and within budget
• Deliver high quality proposal documentation, fee estimation, methodology development, client liaison and contract negotiation
• Assist in reviewing technical deliverables such as technical reports, detail designs and construction quality assurance data etc. to ensure compliance to relevant standards

What do we need from you

Ideally, you will have 7+ years’ experience as a civil engineer with demonstrated technical expertise across urban development (brownfield/greenfield), water and transport engineering for civil infrastructure projects local to South East Queensland. In addition, you will also have:

• RPEQ or willingness to obtain
