Job summary

Egis is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join the Civil team on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. The role focuses on large-scale development projects, with exposure to urban development, water and transport engineering, and opportunities across the region.

You will lead project teams, manage through feasibility to construction, and engage with clients to ensure on-time delivery, quality, and budget adherence. A strong technical background and mentoring mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ experience as a civil engineer with urban development, water and transport exposure.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Washington Accord) is required.
• RPEQ or willingness to obtain certification.
• Strong civil design technical expertise with knowledge of guidelines and standards.
• Experience with brownfield/greenfield land development and subdivision.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers within a consultancy.

Responsibilities

• Project management across the project lifecycle from feasibility through to construction certification.
• Lead project teams of engineers, designers and drafters to meet client requirements on time and within budget.
• Deliver proposal documentation, fee estimation, methodology development, client liaison and contract negotiation.
• Review technical deliverables to ensure compliance with relevant standards.

Job Description

Join our Civil team on the Sunshine Coast and work on award winning projects across South East Queensland! As a part of a truly integrated national team, you will also have exposure and opportunity to work on projects nationally. We're seeking a Senior Engineer - Civil to work on primarily large-scale development projects with as well as commercial, industrial, and medium-density projects with a generalist approach across water and transport engineering.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Project management across the different stages of the project lifecycle from feasibility studies, concept and detailed design through to construction administration and certification on behalf of clients
• Lead project teams of engineers, designers and drafters to deliver project to exceed client requirements on time and within budget
• Deliver high quality proposal documentation, fee estimation, methodology development, client liaison and contract negotiation
• Assist in reviewing technical deliverables such as technical reports, detail designs and construction quality assurance data etc. to ensure compliance to relevant standards

Qualifications

Ideally, you will have 7+ years’ experience as a civil engineer with demonstrated technical expertise across urban development (brownfield/greenfield), water and transport engineering for civil infrastructure projects local to South East Queensland. In addition, you will also have:

• Abachelor’sdegreeinCivilEngineering (Washington Accord)
• RPEQ or willingness to obtain
• Project management across project lifecycle, from concept to delivery, to meet and/exceed client expectations.
• Strongtechnicalexpertiseincivildesignwithknowledgeofrelevantguidelines,AustralianStandards,andLocalCouncilPlanningSchemes.
• Strongunderstandingofgreenfieldprojects, with a strong desire for land development / subdivision expertise.
• Motivation to progress own career within consultancy with a good attitude to uplifting and mentoring junior engineers and designers.
