Job summary

Talent Web Recruitment is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to lead civil design delivery on urban land development and infrastructure projects across Sydney. You will own design quality, program and stakeholder interface from concept through construction-ready documentation.

You will manage subdivision, roads, stormwater, earthworks and associated civil infrastructure, producing detailed models in 12D and AutoCAD and driving designs through internal review and approvals.

Qualifications

• 6+ years civil design experience.
• Tertiary qualification in civil engineering or equivalent.
• Proven experience on urban land development and civil infrastructure projects.
• Proficient in 12D and AutoCAD.
• Strong working knowledge of Australian Standards and council design standards.
• Sound interpersonal and communication skills, including client-facing liaison.
• Practical understanding of safety in design.

Responsibilities

• Manage delivery of all design aspects of the project on time and to the required standards.
• Develop detailed designs and documentation in 12D and AutoCAD.
• Prepare design packages for council and service authority approval.
• Interface regularly with clients, councils, service authorities and other consultants.
• Apply Australian Standards, council design standards and service authority construction standards.
• Embed safety in design practices throughout the design process.
• Mentor junior staff and support coordination across disciplines as required.

About the role
