Job summary

Talent Web is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to lead civil design delivery on urban land development and infrastructure projects across Sydney. You will own design quality, program and stakeholder interface from concept through construction-ready documentation.

You will manage subdivision, roads, stormwater and earthworks, producing detailed models in 12D and AutoCAD, while mentoring junior staff and coordinating across disciplines to keep delivery on time and to standard.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of civil design experience
• Tertiary qualification in civil engineering or equivalent
• Proven experience on urban land development and civil infrastructure projects
• Proficient in 12D and AutoCAD
• Strong working knowledge of Australian Standards and council design standards
• Good understanding of service authority design approval and construction standards
• Sound interpersonal and communication skills, including client-facing liaison
• Practical understanding of safety in design

Responsibilities

• Manage delivery of all design aspects of the project on time and to the required standards
• Develop detailed designs and documentation in 12D and AutoCAD
• Prepare design packages for council and service authority approval
• Interface regularly with clients, councils, service authorities and other consultants
• Apply Australian Standards, council design standards and service authority construction standards
• Embed safety in design practices throughout the design process
• Mentor junior staff and support coordination across disciplines as required
