Moonee Valley City Council is seeking a City Compliance Officer to join the City Safety & Amenity team. You will investigate local laws and animal management matters, conduct inspections, and promote compliance through education and engagement.

The role requires a Certificate IV or Diploma in Statutory Compliance and strong communication and investigative skills. Salary starts at $85,114.74 per year with superannuation and industry allowances, and includes a monthly RDO and parking.

Formación

• Certificate IV or Diploma in Statutory Compliance or related discipline with relevant experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication and report writing skills.
• Well-developed investigative skills to gather evidence and resolve compliance matters.
• Conflict resolution and problem-solving in challenging regulatory environments.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage diverse workloads.

Responsabilidades

• Investigate local laws, animal management, building site compliance, and asset protection matters.
• Conduct inspections, audits and compliance assessments per legislation and policies.
• Promote voluntary compliance through education and engagement, with enforcement where required.
• Prepare correspondence, reports and evidence to support investigations and proceedings.
• Assess permits, registrations and applications relevant to the role.
• Liaise with residents, builders, agencies and stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Assist with animal control activities and respond to nuisances or dangers.
• Maintain accurate records and provide high-quality customer service.
